ZigZag Wags Privacy Policy

We’re all about protecting personal privacy online, and we believe spam is just gross … whether it floods your inbox, or by some horrible circumstance ends up in your food bowl. So, without further ado, the ZigZag Wags privacy policy is outlined below:

By “personal information” we mean any details that personally identify you, like your name, your dog’s name, shipping address, billing address, phone number, and email address.

There are two basic types of personal info we collect:
1) The personal information you provide directly through this website when placing an order; and
2) Specific technical details collected by using this website.

PERSONAL INFO YOU SHARE:

ZigZag Wags, LLC may collect personal information directly from you such as your name, your dog’s name, shipping and/or billing addresses, phone number, email address, and specific order information (like product, size, and color preferences). This information may be collected in various places when visiting our website and doing any of the following:

TECHNICAL INFO WE COLLECT:

During a visit to zigzagwags.com, we may collect some nerdy technical stats (Bella really enjoys complicated reports). The data we collect includes the amount of time visitors spend on our site, the pages they visit, links they click on, browser type and version, service-provider identification, and possibly IP address. This information is collected in the aggregate and is completely anonymous. It does not contain information that directly identifies you specifically. However, such information may become non-anonymous to the extent that it becomes coupled with personal information provided by you. Also, because we do some advertising on social networks from time to time, we should also mention that we collect some user data for purposes of conversion tracking and serving up ads targeted to users’ interests. However, you can opt out of third-party interest-based advertising using the Do Not Track functionality in your web browser. Privacy settings on social media sites may also be managed directly through the account settings of each respective platform. For example, here are some instructions for Twitter.

As you interact with our service, we and our service providers may place cookies on your system. Sadly, these cookies are not treats … although they do sound delicious. Website cookies are small files that are sent to your specific internet browser from a web server and stored on your computer for record keeping purposes. In general, cookies make the Internet more useful by storing information about your preferences on a particular system. They help us to improve our website, personalize your shopping experience, and provide you with better customer service.

You may change your individual browser settings to disable cookies. More detailed information about cookie management with specific web browsers can be found on the browser’s respective websites.

The personal information we collect may be used to do things like:

  • Process your orders and information requests;
  • Improve customer service, whether its following up on an order or responding to a technical support request;
  • Improve our website, as we improve our website and products based on the feedback you provide;
  • Administer various website features;
  • Enable you to post your feedback and other content; and
  • Enable you to interact with third-party content and service providers (like Facebook and YouTube, for example), whether by viewing their content on our website or within their own environment, or by linking directly to their websites;

REALLY IMPORTANT STUFF:

We take information security very seriously and use every reasonable administrative, technical, physical and managerial measure to protect your data from unauthorized access. For example, we utilize Secure Sockets Layering (an industry-standard data transmission protocol) in order to encrypt certain data transmissions that contain personal information you send to us through ordering, or registration, or sign up processes.

Unfortunately, no system is guaranteed to be 100% secure, therefore we cannot completely guarantee the security of your information. In the unlikely event that your personal information is compromised, we cannot assume liability for improper access. That said, we don’t sell anything to third-party marketing firms, advertisers, or market research companies … and we never will (we heard they like cats).

We think credit card and bank information is best handled by a professional and secure financial services company so we insist that all transactions be processed through verified third-party payment processors like PayPal, 2Checkout and Shopify. We never even see your credit card numbers, so you never have to worry that we’ll use them inappropriately.

We may provide access to specific information about our website visitors when legally required to do so, to cooperate with police investigations or other legal proceedings, to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our website, to limit our legal liability, and to protect our rights or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, the public, or our business.

In short, unless we’re legally compelled to do so, we will never EVER share your personal information with anyone. Ever.
